Originally a 3 piece Punk Band, Mugwump have grown and twisted into a 6 piece Underground/Indie Band, made up of brothers Mark and Dane Shilvock (Bass/Vocals + Drums), Ed Casey (Keys + Guitar), Mix (Vocals), Grahame Porthouse (Guitar) and Andy Murchington (Keys). Since their formation in 1995, Mugwump have mainly been influenced by Goth, Rock and New Wave bands such as Joy Division, The Fall and 80’s Indie bands.
With the addition of the newer members and newer influences, the Mugwump sound is now more melodic and chilled out than previously, as heard on their newest album Drive.
Drive was well received by underground radio stations and fanzines the world over. After the success of Drive, Mugwump are set to begin recording a new album in Studio 10 during February, and have plans to tour throughout late spring/early summer .
