The Rocky Conway Jr. Band are a freeform Jazz outfit, who’s emphasis is on breaking tradition.
The band is made up of Rocky Conway Jr. (Saxophone + Trumpet), MAS (Bass), Yan Kovic (Drums), Andy Murchington (Keys) Jess Clay (Saxophone), Ed (keys) and Mix (Jazz Flute).
Considering the style of Rocky Conway Jr., their influences are some what surprising. these influences include Chet Baker, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Buddy Guy, GG. Allin, Hank Williams III, Meshuggah and The Cardiacs.
The band hope to release their debut album, Cacophonous Interpolations, during the summer of 2007, and a UK tour is set to follow later in the year.
