The album is a mixture of pop dub and just plain strange. It was traded around Europe, and received minimal air play. The tracks "Aston Disco" and "Reflections" created the most interest, and due to the lo-fi nature of the CD, these two songs will be re-recorded at Studio 10 sometime in the future. 8 Shades begins with light pop, and journeys through the tracks to its dark dub conclusion.
